In historic step, Belize court scraps law targeting gay and bisexual men

We are so pleased our colleague and friend Caleb Orozco has won his long and hard fought case to decriminalise homosexuality in Belize. Caleb prevailed on all the points of his claim. The Chief Justice decided that section 53 of the Criminal Code is inconsistent with the Constitution of Belize because it violates the right to human dignity, privacy, freedom of expression and non-discrimination and equality before the law and equal protection of the law. Congratulations Caleb and all our colleagues who worked on this case!
